Space Focussed Funding Opportunities
Initiatives and programmes designed with a focus on growing the UK space sector
National Space Technology Programme (NSTP)
NSTP aims to develop the growth of the UK Space sector as embodied in the Space Innovation and Growth Strategy. Proposals are sought for space technology research and development projects that should align with the National Space Technology Strategy and the related technology roadmaps covering five main themes:
- Position, navigation and timing
- Exploration and robotics
- Access to Space
There are three types of NSTP grant:
- NSTP Technology Fast Track Grants – typically £50,000 to £150,000; up to 12 months duration
- NSTP Pathfinder Grants – £50,000 maximum; normally no more than six months duration
- NSTP Grants for Exploratory Ideas (Mini Studies) – rolling call, £10,000 maximum grant; up to 3 months duration

Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation

Space for Smarter Government Programme
The Space for Smarter Government Programme (SSGP) is a strategic national programme established and led by the UK Space Agency in 2014, and delivered in collaboration with the Satellite Applications Catapult to drive the uptake and use of space products, data and services across government departments.
